About Us

We are simply a group of sinners who have been saved by the grace of God, gathered out to the Son of God, governed by the Word of God, guided and gifted by the Spirit of God.

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, the vicarious death of Christ, the victorious resurrection of Christ and the imminent, visible return of Christ for His saints.

Each week there are a number of meetings/services that take place in the hall. Everyone is welcome to come along and observe - no fees or collection! You also can obtain free literature on a variety of subjects. If you know any children who would like to attend our youth meetings, please check out the youth work section here.

Our beginnings

Up until the 60's the local assembly met in an old hall in the Ballymacvea area just outside Kells village. In the early 60's a new site was acquired and a hall was built in the village itself. This is the same hall that exists today albeit with some modifications and facelifts!

The revival of 1859

The year 2009 was the 150th anniversary of the 1859 revival. Without doubt many people from the surrounding area are familiar with the story of the 1859 revival. Back in those days a number of young men met together to pray for their neighbours and friends. At that time many people were saved/became Christians. The effect of this stretched as far as Scotland and England also. To this day the results of the prayer and interest of men like Jeremiah Meneely are still evident in the locality today.
